The Umbel Series are abstract flower forms based on umbel shaped structures, a flower whose shape resembles an umbrella when it has blossomed. These flowers are made using high temperature wire for the pedicles which allows the pieces to have a lightweight and delicate feel to them despite their size and material. The piece is about 10′ x 3′ x 3′ and had 5 intricately crafted umbel flowers attached onto a found aspen branch. This piece is part of the permanent collection at Buffalo Creek Art Center in Gardnerville NV.
