I collaborated with my husband Nate for the first time and I revisited/reinvented older work (read more about the process here), to create these oversized Umbels. We designed their sputnik style starburst together and he welded it all up, I love how it creates geometric negative spaces across the sky. The ceramic pieces are inspired by lotus pods and glazed in cool greens, turquoises and purple. They are over 10′ tall and 3′ wide.
