With the help of my artist friend Susana Arias and the staff at Pacific Edge Climbing Gym, I installed my Rock Candy River sculpture. I’ve spent at least two days a week at the climbing gym for years now, and its a place where I’ve found friendships, challenges and trust. I’m so excited to share this new installation Rock Candy River with the community of climbers who use this space. We started by hanging a paper template that I had pre-drawn out and labeled with the location of each piece. I screwed through the paper to get the screws in the wall in the correct spots and then we torn down the paper. Each piece was hung based on its number placement and attached to the wall with a small looping wire to avoid anything accidentally falling off the wall.
